Have to take some time off!
Well, I have not been sticking to MY plan. This last couple weeks have consisted of me being put on light duty, one step before bed rest, due to me falling down. Things are better now, I just have to move slowly and rest often. Which is totally mangling my organizing plans. I have read some great stuff in the book, I just need to get it posted on here. I wish I could say that I would be back to my organizing soon, but it doesn't seem to be working out. I have 2 more weeks til baby, then recovery time and then I will be back at it as best as I can. So don't worry I have not abandoned my mission, I just need to put it on hold for a bit. Thanks to those of you who read this and I promise things will get better in about a month :

Less is More
Well, I think I am mostly back. I got phase 1 of my taxes done, I still have a lot to do but I can pace it out a little bit now. My little doggy has been home recovering from surgery #1 for the last couple weeks but is back in now for her surgery to fix her pelvis and her hip. The surgery is scheduled for this afternoon, because we live so far away I had to take her in yesterday and leave her. I just hope and pray everything goes well she is such a little fighter and has made it so far. I should be able to go back in and get her tomorrow morning. I thought blogging would help me to take my mind off of everything. Then I looked at my calendar, 4 more weeks til baby......YIKES.............. Holy Crap!!!! My to do list just got way longer. With that being said. I am going to skip all the Organizing your paperwork and financed weeks because that will be something I can work on a bit more while I am recovering after we bring baby home.
I am happy to announce that my closet still is in tip top shape after several weeks! I am so happy, this proves that less is more!!!
As for right now, I really need to finish up the basement while I still have a small amount of energy. My motivation will be that people walk in through the daylight basement to come upstairs and I am sure we will have a fair amount of visitors after baby comes. I don't want everyones first impression to be ..... wow, what a slob!! This will encompass Week 20 Organize your entryway, Week 28 Organize your Laundry Room, Week 29 Organize your Bathroom, and Week 40 Organize your Basement.
Most of the mess in the basement is boxes and totes that we have recently brought in from storage that needs gone through and put away. You might remember that a few weeks ago I was nagging my hubby to take care of some tools and building supplies that are in the storage room, I am happy to announce that he did put a pretty good dent in it. Maybe not quite my idea of organized but at least we can function around it now, plus he moved around some heavy stuff in there so I can finish going through "stuff"
I will take pictures before I start and post them later!

Ugh!!!
Do you ever have a day or week or month when you just can't properly function? I am in a rut right now. I am blaming it partly on being 8 months preggo and partly on the fact that I am so disorganized. Still catching up on paperwork to get this tax stuff completed. Trying to pay bills, which of course I can't, because the people that owe us are late, so now our bills get late charges....thanks alot! While on the course of negativity and exhaustion I decided I needed some help. Going to God always makes me feel better!
Hope it helps you too.
Hope it helps you too.
Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank you for being the God who never sleeps.
Thank you for always being here for me, even when I’m not always here for you.
Thank you that you are Love and that you want the very best for me.
Thank you for your promises and that you never change.
I am feeling totally overwhelmed.
Please help me.
Help me to rest in the fact that you know what is best for me.
Forgive me for turning away from you and trying to control the outcome in situations in my life.
The Bible says that you are not the God of confusion but of peace.
Help me to rest in your love and to feel the peace of Christ which passes all understanding.
Help me to feel your love and comfort.
Help me to be still and know that you are God and that you will take care of me, just like any loving parent takes care of their children.
Your Word says to cast all of our anxiety on you because you care for us.
I turn all of my burdens and concerns over to you.
Please guide my every step and help me to be attentive to your loving direction.
In name of your Son and our Savior Jesus,
Amen

Slightly Off Schedule!
Well, I am back! Not completely with it but I am back. We got our little doggy back from the vet. She is resting in the the play pen in the kitchen. She has a long recovery ahead of her, and we have a lot of pills to give her and she will need lots of TLC. As for me I am exhausted and my house is a wreck. I have been working this morning to get things tidied up a bit. I will admit I have not completely gotten my personal paperwork files completed. I still need to copy down some bank info and get a hold of my hubbies wallet so I can write all his credit card info down. But I do have the rest of it taken care of.
I was very excited when we were in Costco the other day to see a 14 pack of small clear totes with lids for$19. Way cheaper than I have ever found them anywhere else. So I grabbed a pack. As I clean my kitchen I am placing like items together in these small totes to keep my little mans grubby fingers off of everything. I have all the silverware, cooking utensils, seasoning packs, dish rags, and such now stored in the totes. If you remember in my earlier post I mentioned that our kitchen cupboards don't have doors on them yet. While clear totes may not be the most fashionable decor, they are the most functional for the time being. SO even though I haven't quite finished my personal info, I have been slowly putting the kitchen together.
As we all know tax season in creeping up.....ughh...... Since I do all the books for my husbands business I have to get the 1099's out by Monday. I am embarrassed to admit how far behind I am in my data entry program. I enter all my transactions into Quickbooks after I have written checks and made deposits. I don't know why but I have never been able to keep up with it. So my free time this week will be solely dedicated to that for the next few days. Wish me luck and a silent butt whipping to get it done on time.
Well thats all I have for today. I PROMISE to get back on track SOON!

I'm Still Here
I'm sorry I am a few days behind. We have had a very tough week and I can't wrap my head around trying to blog or let alone organize. Our poor little doggy got ran over and we have been spending alot of time at the vet clinic and driving the 80 miles between here and there. She is getting a bit stronger all the time, but still has a tough recovery ahead. I promise I haven't lost my motivation to want to get organized. I just can't do it all right now. Hopefully we will be able to bring her home early to mid week and then maybe I can sleep at night.
Thanks for reading and I will keep you posted.

All That Important Paperwork
Weeks 5-12 are on organizing your papers. I started this morning with personal information. I wanted to easily be able to find birth certificates, account numbers, savings bonds, and the like. While I have a stack of those papers in the safe. It wasn't organized or contained at all. So I dug out an old accordion file that we don't use anymore. Labeled the files and went to work, I quickly got all the paperwork from the safe neatly organized. But something was missing. I read on in the chapter where Jennifer talks about keeping a list of your credit card numbers and info in case they are lost or stolen. The same goes for bank information. So I got on the computer and started looking for an easy template to follow to get all the info I needed in one spot. This is what I found, http://printables.yourway.net It works great and I almost have everything written down then I will note what is in each of our wallets. Then if we should ever need it, it will be there, so we can quickly call and cancel the card. I also filed our life insurance policies and made a file for our wills. Not a fun thing to think about but it will take a lot of stress off of me knowing that its taken care of. When I am all done it will go back in the safe and when I leave this world, hopefully not for a very long time, then I will know that my family won't have a huge stressful job of trying to find all the documents that they need. I also need to work up a list of all of our insurance info, vehicle info (license plates and VIN's), doctors, and put in the contact info for our investments, ie. college funds. That will be tomorrows project.
Happy Organizing!
Happy Organizing!
